Just an ordinary Thursday night...

Tonight was our Relief Society quilt tying and dinner at Jessie's gorgeous house. It was lots of fun. I drove home and barely entered the driveway when I see Jer galloping down the front stairs in his stocking feet. His eyes were popping and he said "Do you have an original beach key???" I did. He grabbed it and ran up the stairs, saying he was talking to a locksmith and that Kimberly had driven 5 hours to the beach with the little girls without the beach key we gave her. She had been there for at least 2 hours trying to figure out how to get in. He thought the locksmith was charging too much, and they did not believe that it was our home. Sheesh!

So, at 9 PM Jer threw clothes and meds into a garbage bag (we do have luggage) and off he drove to save the day! We convinced Kimberly to drive back into the Long Beach area to stay with my sister until Jer arrives. So she did, and I guess the little cousins are getting acquainted waaaaay past their bedtimes! Jer is about 15 minutes away and just told me to let her know to get the little ones ready to head out in soon. Kimberly told me that when they walked in Lydie went right up to Janet to give her a hug. Such a little sweetie! I wonder what the girls thought of Wolfie?

What an adventure! One, no, actually more good things, about it all: Kimberly and the girls are safe, Janet was a heroine, Jerry gets to go to the beach (he really wanted to anyway!), the little cousins get acquainted, and Janet gets to see the little girls for the first time!
