Houston and Paris and Reunions

I talked with my eldest daughter today. Her husband and 20 other hardy young men from their church hopped in vans with chain saws, drinkable water, gloves, and food. They left at 3:30 AM for a long outing to Houston to help clean and clear. He did the same thing a few years ago when they lived in Dallas, driving to Oklahoma City to clean and clear after a horrible tornado. Hats of to him and his buddies!

I just had fun remembering my trip to Paris in 2003 with my sister, hence the new song on the playlist. It was so memorable. We have decided that we really need to go once again. There were so many places we just sampled and nibbled. Next time I would like to investigate and snoop in more depth, particularly in central Paris and in the Loire Valley.

Today I took my mother to a church reunion of "Old Timers" of the Vancouver area. It was interesting that there were quite a few my age who brought older ones, and who, are old timers if you consider that we were kids running around the church quite a few years back and are becoming more elder old timers with each breathe. I saw Louwanna with whom I graduated from high school and Linda. I was her reader for college macro-economics. She said that it was weird with us, that it was like we were picking up a conversation that we had just started, but we had not seen each other for years! "Seeing": Linda sees a lot more than sighted people! Glad that I got her email during this conversation!

I am so glad you liked "Peters Paris Blog". I thought you would! Yes indeed, we need to return to Paris. It is calling me again. Love, Janet
