Janene and kids arrived on the 29th, and she went to the airport at midnight July 3rd to pick up John. Good news! Budget would trade her cute LITTLE economy car for a Grand Marquee that the entire family and a year's supply of luggage will fit into, with spare room for a McDonald's franchise. The bad news is....have you ever tried to find a gas station to fill up the little car when you don't know your way around the city? Well, they did make it back around 2:30 AM.
The kids had fun at the fishing derby and the kid races. We ate too much on our lovely deck with BBQ Jer on duty overseeing HIS view (trees died for that view last month) and his new deck furniture that I gave him for Father's Day. It was gorgeous!
The kids left for the beach with a zillion directions zooming around their heads, and we stayed home to enjoy amazingly illegal and noisy and huge fireworks in our neighborhood. Someone went to the reserv!
Today I went to church and we are recovering from little people. Love them, but as they always say: the young need to have the babies! They shall return on Tuesday, I think.
