Bees' Knees

Well, exactly 5 months after my injury at school, I am having surgery on my knee tomorrow AM. The surgeon is going to snip the tear and "polish" off some arthritis off the back of my patella. I am ironing, changing sheets, paying bills...anything I can think of that I will not be too thrilled about doing the next few days. I have to record that a friend in PT really believes that the surgeon will find a torn ACL when his camera takes a peek inside. We shall see if he can be smug! :-)

Mother is being tended by her wonderful hospice nurse. I am so grateful. I finally remembered that he said he was for the entire family, so I took him up on it. He scheduled her full body scan for Oct 12th and told me not to worry at all about her. Whew!

My sub is wonderful Lisa who was riffed after all the cuts. So I have a great librarian subbing for me.

Well, off to those tasks! Breakfast is one little pill and a swig of water. Yum-O!

Good morning sis,
I have been thinking of you and wondered if your surgery is to be today so I appreciate hearing from you.
What happened with Jerry's MRI on his kidney? I have been concerned about that as well!!!

I hope to call mother this AM. When she called last she sounded so well.
My David called and we talked for over an hour over the weekend. It was so good to hear from him. He discussed a lot of things with me.

God bless you and please let me know how it goes today.
Love you very much,
Janet

Joan,

Are you doing same day surgery? Who is your surgeon again? Do you need some entertainment while you recuperate? Like, maybe a dancing chicken or a tight wire rope act across your back lawn?

Patella sounds more like a woman’s name from the 60’s J

Me, Marie

Indeed I was. . .and I smiled and nodded and my WLMA membership is on its way. Jaimie from St. Helens was there. She still has not found anything in the way of a job and is monumentally discouraged. One of the elementary librarians wanted to know (not as discreetly) what Jaimie was going to do with all the elementary books she was reviewing. Gadzooks! She happily distributed the books she reviewed over the summer. Also, the rumor is that the Cathlament principal was wanting to send his mother-in-law to review. Apparently we have much of a good thing. Lisa was a good stand-in for you, though nervous. I was willing to be a co-chair with you, although that COULD raise the ire, so I said nothing. . .well, that, and I already have a ton on my plate because no one else wanted to be the site-based chair person. You were voted chair in absentia--primarily because no one else wanted to take it on. Gennie Fike is the returning treasurer by virtue of losing the "one, two, three. . .not it." She is making noises like she might leave before the year is up, but I might just be reading things into things.
