March Madness...and we aren't talking basketball!

Oh boy. It just gets crazier and crazier!

Tomorrow night the school board is to make their final cuts proposals. They are considering keeping some elementary librarians based on school population. That means either lots of part-time positions.

Mother loves her hospice nurse. Steve is awesome, and he really watches out for her. She finally contracted the nasty bug floating around and he checked her two times on Friday, picked up her antibiotics for the pneumonia that was starting, and called yesterday. Friday Janet came in and we went to bring items from Mother's safety deposit box to her apartment. It was high drama, as she demanded that I didn't open it. Like she and I haven't looked in it before. So, even though she is sick, she still is her demanding, prickly self. lol

Conference was wonderful today! One young woman who recently joined the church spoke. She looked so familiar. I talked with her afterwards and sure enough, she had attended R. A. Long! She is waiting to turn 21 to fill out her mission papers. I am really happy for her.

We still know nothing. Sure hope I stick around. We had conferences yesterday and today, nice break in the routine and I like
talking to the parents. A surprise today; I got a certificate from the School Board for my kids good math WASL scores last year.
Nice! Had no idea how they did except that the math specialist from my old school told me they did fine, and I was happy with that.
My fifth graders are coming along fine too, but I'm not getting overconfident. I hide my nervousness and
tell them that they know all they need to know and now we are just polishing the answers. We have a nice spring break coming up
and I really want to lie in the sun......assumming there is some sun on my deck.
I hear there are wedding bells coming in June for my nephew and your grand-niece!!! Benita

Hi Joan,
You are so funny and such a good and patient daughter.
And, I work with Crystal in YSA - she is the stake leader, and I adore her. I don't run the program for the kids, and expect lots from them, so it has been fun to watch her growth in becoming a leader. She started as a mouse, and has turned into a pleasant lion.
