Collison: damage, getaway, update

I call Janene daily to see if she and Ava are doing okay. They are. I visited the acupuncturist on Wednesday, and she said my neck was tight, but it felt good after all the little pricks. :-)

The doctor said he would call me back Wednesday after talking with his insurance. He did not. He did not on Thursday either. Jerry had to call his office on Friday. His secretary said that he "had just stepped out." Jerry apologized for her to receive stern directives for the doctor, but he told her to relay that I had been manipulated enough, that he expected the doctor's insurance to contact us immediately, and that we were very disappointed. Then Jerry apologized to the secretary again.

Obviously the doctor "stepped back in" as about noon Saturday an adjuster talked with Jerry. He was pretty unhappy with his client. Oh, just to let all my family and friends know....the doctor said that I had a silver car. So I had to call back the adjuster so they could hear from my lips that I was okay. They also were not told that I had passengers. I asked if they wanted the police collision report and they were eager to get that. This company replaces car seats, so I have to go buy a new one. I told them that it was not affected at all, but they insist. They also want to talk to my acupuncturist, even though I told them that I was fine. It was apparent that I told them lots more detail that they had previously. So, I wrote a cover letter and faxed all that I had to them, and offered to send the jpgs of the incident to them if they would give me an email.

Since there were passengers, and since they were not told that until I talked with them, I have to talk with another adjuster on Monday or Tuesday.

I am just glad that we were safe and that my gallant Subaru has fantastic acceleration and that I documented what happened. Don't trust anyone who walks away from the scene saying, "Just fix it and give me a call."

WA State law is that phone numbers and insurance must be exchanged, and the police called to the scene. Live and learn!

You want to trust a doctor. Hope he's learned a lesson, too. Benita
