Wednesday my trusty Subaru and I drove up to see Lydie and Jenna. It was snowing at our house and at Centralia. April Fool's! I was close to their home when Kimbo called. I told her that I was at the Subway and she said I was only 5 minutes away. In the background two little girls were squealing. Boy, does that ever make a grandparent happy! Once I found the right PLACE, I entered the house to two jumping jills and the smell of homemade bread...pepper and feta whole wheat. Yummo! Simba was nowhere to be seen. Miraculously he appeared when the little ones went down for the night. He rolled over after playing a while and relaxed on his back. Pretty funny that the cat knows when the coast is clear! Thad went into action in the kitchen making oatmeal chip cookies. I was in baker's heaven, obviously! We had a nice visit. Kimberly and I debated with Thad about the virtues of TWILIGHT, but it ended in a impasse. Kimber has seen the movie 5 times. She talked a lot about the music, so I will have to watch it again with that in mind. I was able to stay in Jenna' bedroom and slept like a rock. The next morning I gave Jenna charge of the nose collection. They brought lots of joy to their mom and her sisters, and obviously, with some new elastic, they will bring joy to these two sweeties. Like Lydie says, "Oh sure!" We went shopping in a squall for the special Twilight discs that Target carries. Even though Kimbo does not own an iPOD, she bought it for herself. (Joan the resourceress sees an iPOD in their future.....)

I left earlier than planned so that I could drive home in the light. The weather was just horrible driving up. I drove north in a convoy of semis whose only purpose was to deluge my windshield with mucky water. On the way back, when I wasn't dozing, I noticed only 1 semi driving south, but there were dozens going north. There has to be some good time to drive and avoid them. A plague! I was so tired....it took 2 hours to drive to Wild Waves in the traffic. I stopped at the rest stop south of Olympia just to walk around in the bracing wind. Then in about 10 minutes I stopped at the outlet stores in Centralia. While in EB, my cell rings and Jerry was on it assuming I was home. Silly man! lol So I bought a new umbrella as mine got trashed this winter, bought him some trouser socks and me a lime green nightgown. After that stop I was awake and singing along with my 70s CD all the way home.

Very, very cute pictures!
Janene
Your news reminds me that I saw our librarian at Costco today. She had surgery for breast cancer just two weeks ago and it was good to see
her looking well. She told me she was using up all her high energy time for the day and ready to go home and rest. She is going to come back to school next week; that's good.
I haven't really appreciated her this year, but I'm sure glad she's doing well and she is much friendlier since her sudden diagnosis. I just reminds me of how fragile our lives and assumptions really are.
She told me that our principal had been to her home to visit her and let her know that he was praying for her. What a guy. I knew he was special, but we both marveled at just how sincere and supportive he really is. She splits her time with another elementary and she hasn't even had a return call from that principal since she had to leave. Really, that is just cold.
I told her that he has raised my spirits many times with just the right timing for a positive note in my box or a visit out to leave a
compliment and pat on the back.
Cute pictures, cute kids! You really did get the lousy weather yesterday. We went out to a movie and it was just awful, pouring, cold stuff....Brint and I both stepped in a huge puddle leaving the theater..Dan and Tyler found the way around it but it was too late for us. Then a beautiful sunny
day today.
I was in charge of the combined egg decorating Wed. night. Really my MM were, but none of them could attend -but it went very well, lots of happy campers. The 'spin an egg' machine was a big hit, also the decorating eggs after blowing out the contents, they liked that too. Then there were the tie dye and the stamped eggs. They were great about cleaning up.
Yesterday I spend all morning molding sugar eggs and hollowing them out for the panorama eggs next Wed. My girls are in charge again, but still not around. Well actually I spent half that time watching sugar eggs crumble in my hands, it was a steep learning curve.
So there are a dozen sugar eggs prepared, 24 halves. When Rachel brings Ada over tomorrow, we're
going to put one together for her and Rachel is all excited about it too. Got all my old cake decorating equipment out...haven't used it in ages.
Made everyone sausage lasagna from Costco tonight with yeast rolls -it was a huge hit...had to make Tyler slow down so he wouldn't make himself sick on it. He thanked me later. I told him' put the lasagna down slowly and no one will get hurt' and he was laughing but admitted he had had too much. He's so skinny and such a picky eater but when he finds something he really likes, he overdoes it and makes himself sick.
Now to clean my kitchen so I can make the cinnamon rolls and eggs for tomorrow when everyone is watching conference. I'm sneaking out at noon to get my hair cut though.
Glad you made it home safely. Congratulations to Jerry. Wow, fifteen years, I guess I didn't know he'd worked for the district that long.
