This was a really busy week: leadership meeting for church, doctor appointments, housecleaning, and preparing for my PartyLite party on Friday. After teaching 5 freshmen classes on Tuesday I finally looked at my school email to discover that Melinda, one of our teachers, was given 12 FREE Celine Dion tickets for Thursday night. I emailed back, knowing that by the end of the day there would be none left. Imagine my surprise to find out that she had one ticket left, next to her.
So Cheryl drove six of us in her Expedition to the event. We had really primo seats: directly over the box seats with a direct view to the stage in the round. What a great show! The opening act was a funny guy who mimicked about 30 singers and made fun of them with lyric modifications.
Celine was awesome. She is a mixture of cheerleader, quarterback and singer. She got so excited at the end of each song. There were 6 costume changes, and she wore 5 inch heels. Her songs were amazing. She sang "The Prayer" with a video Andrea Bocelli. The stage and lighting was a show in themselves.
I got to bed about 1:15. Luckily the next day of school was the last day of Spirit Week, and none of the kids nor the teachers with whom I worked were serious enough to notice I was a zombie. :-)
The fun did not stop there. I raced to the store then to home to prepare for my candle party. I enjoyed having nine friends in my home.

Oh, you are so lucky. I am such a fan of Andrea. Celine is in a classs of her own. She is true talent and showmanship!!

That's awesome! How did that lady get around on 5-inch heels the whole night? I've never heard of costume changes at concerts (I haven't been to too many concerts myself). It sounds like quite a show. Did she ever speak directly to the audience or did she mostly perform?
Janae, She visited a lot. Very personable and real. To get to the stage she walked through the audience and when she was done she walked through the edge of the audience. Joan
