I restrained myself and did not blog until now. I was writing a Christmas letter when Jerry wandered into the office and said, "Ready to go to your acupuncture appointment?" It is 10:20 A. M. I am in my pjs, still. The appointment was to be at 11:30. I rush to get ready and call them to say that I will make it after all. Jerry went to start the car. I got in. He backed up across the driveway and took off in 3rd gear. We stuck at the edge of the driveway. He backed up for another run, and then stuck for good in the side yard. We were lucky that our neighbor, John, was scraping his driveway with his John Deere. He came down and worked for about a half hour. I gave the guys some hot spiced cider. John went over the gears with Jerry and left him to play with the tractor some more. The result: we have a pretty clear driveway and Baby (my displeased Subaru) is at least backed up to the garage, but not in it yet. She clings to snow and floods the garage, so once everything starts melting she will be allowed back in. She is not amused.

Oh, take a look at today's deck photo and then scroll down to see the changes in just a few days. We are hopeful today! It didn't snow. It is actually beautiful up here and we are cozy warm thus far.

I forayed out across the yard to take photos, and you can see how deep the snow came up my jeans. Boots are definitely too short! Oh, never made it to the appointment!
