Thursday we had no plays scheduled and were lucky to escape the heat of Ashland for Crater Lake, a balmy 75. The drive was wonderful and we found photographers to snap us at the lake and at the Rogue River inlet/outlet park area. The lava pinnacles at RR were amazing, and CL was as gorgeous as I remember as a 10-year-old. This was Jerry's first time at the park. Oh, got my national parks passport stamped. I still think that traveling to national parks would be a fun series of vacations.
