Ferris Wheel a Churning!

On the first night at Disneyland (June 25th), Patti left Jessica and I when we wanted to ride the ferris wheel in CA Adventure. The line was long, and we were told that we had to share a gondola. Oh, we were entering a swinging gondola. I looked at our new buddies, saw that they were an elderly couple and told Jess that we were safe.... No crazy kids like Emma and Ben who swing it so much you are eyeballing the water. We chatted with the Hispanic couple who were at least in their late seventies. Suddenly she said to me, "Where are you from? You have an accent." Jess was smirking and I was amazed. She had an obvious Spanish accent that was a little different itself. I told her where I was from. Jessica shared that people is So Cal have thought she was from MinnesoTA? Anyway, this elder couple came from CUBA! She had been here for 49 years and he for 52 years. Believe me, they still had accents. But what I didn't count on is that this sweet little lady was really a hot tamale who was a swinger. Hubby was yelling, "Stop! Can't you see the girl (that was me :-) ) is turning white?!" "I'm not swinging anything but myself, " she said smugly. And she continued swinging herself and stated that there were stationary gondolas. Actually, they were so cute, and she did get me used to the swinging. She shared, "I can't do all the rides I want, like the loopy one. I have a brain injury and will konk over on it."

Think what a boring ride it would have been without these two!
